Menu Options and Ideas...


The breakfast menu may include any of the following: sausage and biscuits with sausage gravy; scones of various types like apricot-sour cream, chocolate chip, or dried cherry; tropical fruit parfaits with coconut macaroon topping; local pears poached in wild muscadine grape jam; sausage; bacon; eggs scrambled, poached or shirred (baked); bacon and Swiss quiche; cinnamon, pecan, or caramel rolls, and pancakes or waffles. Also, cranberry-orange muffins, blueberry muffins, apple streusel muffins, banana bread, pumpkin bread, zucchini bread, carrot bread, or crepes with orange-cream cheese-sour cream filling topped with whipped cream with crispy bacon on the side, depending on season and availability.  Breakfast Bread Pudding has dried or fresh fruit in it, and makes a delicious change from routine.  Sausage Casserole -- Browned Sausage, chunks of two or more cheeses, eggs and cream, french bread and topped with more cheese.  Slow-roasted Corned Beef Hash -- Tender chunks of corned beef, Onions sauted in butter until Golden Brown, mixed with Crunchy Hashed Brown Potatoes all tossed together at the last minute and topped with Shirred Eggs, and served with Biscuits.

Special dietary requirements can be met, but unusual requirements may need advance notice.  Please contact the innkeeper with any special dietary needs, just in case.  Low carb, low fat, non-dairy, vegetarian, vegan, food allergies, high protein, low protein, etc. may be accomodated (preferrably not all at once) :-).  (Yes, you can have low-carb pancakes... yes, you can have high protein, low carb yeast bread..., yes you can have egg-and-milk-free cookies)
